My son has had his eye on this bike since Christmas. We kept pricing it in the stores and then we found the bike on Amazon for quite a bit less, even with the shipping cost. Thank you! Barbara Santa Cruz

My 8 year old son loves this dirt bike and he is the envy of the neighborhood kids. He has had it for about a month now and rides it every day all day; and we have no complaints. Be aware, this bike is pretty fast and should not be purchased if your child is not comfortable on two wheels. It was easy to put together and it pretty sturdy. It is a bit heavy but has a very sturdy kickstand. I would highly recommend this product.
Great Price, Great Product

We bought this bike for our 10 year old daughter’s birthday. It is just the right size (she weighs 85 lb) for her now yet it will take up to 160 lbs. My husband and I can ride it too! It has enough power to be really fun without being scary and the battery lasts a long time too. FUN!
1 week of fun

We purchased this for our 10 year old son. It was great for 1 week- then the back tire stripped out and now it won’t run. When we went online to see what to do- there were other reviews-not on Amazon- about this problem. Now we have to spend the next 3 weeks taking it to a repair shop and getting a new back wheel put on. Make sure your children ONLY ride this in the street and not “hard” it will strip the gears and wreck the back tire!
Good little Bike

Easy to put together, well built & sturdy. Alot of bike for the money.
If you are going to drive after dark you need to add some lights and/or reflectors.

Excellent product, fast, fun, worth the money

This product is excellent. I clocked the bike going around 16 MPH with my son (80 lbs) in it. All the neighbor kids now line up to use it pretty much every afternoon when we go out, a total of 8 kids ride it every time. The battery lasts for at least 1 to 2 hours, and the most we have been able to run it is about 5 miles total. Bike is worth the money and I am satisfied with what I got. I would like a bit more torque as the bike slows down in the grass, but still goes fast enough. There are no hills where I leave, so I can not comment how much it slows down climbing hills.
Awesome!

I was nervous about buying this bike for my 10 year old’s birthday, especially since the recommended age was much higher than his, but he loves it! Actually, we all love riding it (carries up to 175 lbs!). It being electric also make me nervous, but it’s awesome! I totally recommended it. I do think that he would have been too big for the smaller size motorbike recommended for his age, this one fits him perfect and the amount of power is not too much for him to handle.
Electric alternative

I was looking for a motorcycle to ride around the neighborhood for my 9 year old daughter than wouldn’t disturb the neighbors. We have motorcycles to ride in the desert but they are much to noisy to ride around homes. The Razor MX 500 fit the bill. The motor is strong and the suspension can take two up riding. The only problem I can foresee is that the battery clunks when riding off curbs. The battery holder may break after a while with a steady diet of jumps.
LOVE IT!

We bought this for my 6 year old son, and he absolutely loves it. His 12 year old sister rides it too, only when her brother is not home. They fight over it. My 6 year old had no problems handling this bike. The battery lasts for almost 40 minutes and it is small enough to store in the house. It runs very smooth and quiet, as we were up at the crack of dawn so he could ride it.We were very impressed with the quality and ease of use.
Very fun. Great first bike.

Was a bit skeptical after reading other reviews, but really wanted my son’s first bike to be electric. No mainenance and not pipe burns were big selling points. The bike arrived with a broken throttle. It probably happened in shipping, but looking at how the bike was put together (very sloppy), who knows. The decals were just thrown on crooked and don’t stick very well… but they’re just decals so no biggie (I still wish they would have just left them for me to put on). We used the bike for a while with the broken throttle and had a bunch of fun, but when we got the new throttle (sent under warantee) it was a blast. My wife has as much fun as my 7 year old on it! We have 6 acres of forest with bumps and hills and it climbs and jumps like a regular dirt bike. Tire tread still strong after 4 months. It doesn’t do to good with my big butt on it, but that’s expected. I would definately recommend the bike. Just watch out for the quality of how it’s put together when you get it.
Great Dirtbike!!!

Just bought this for my 11 year-old daughter. Took about half an hour to get it together! And then off she went! She said it was the best present ever. Even my 13 year old son loves it!! Couldn’t be happier!
Battery Issues
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought one of these for my 6 year old. He used it for a year and loved it. It worked well. However, over the winter I stored it indoors in my basement to avoid freezing temps here in New England. When I brought it out in the spring, the battery would not hold a charge at all – completely dead. The only authorized repair center was too far away for me. I bought an exact replacement battery online for $75 and installed it. It worked, but the motorcycle only goes half as fast as it did before. I read some similar reviews elsewhere with someone going to the company for 4-5 more new batteries within days of purchasing a new bike before finding one that worked properly. My son won’t even ride it anymore because its so slow.
I’m not sure I would spent the money on this again knowing I will only get a years worth of use from it without investing more money in it just to keep it running. It is a toy after all. Very disappointed in the quality of this and all toys today. We took extra good care of this maintenance wise. Does anyone make anything that lasts or stand behind their products anymore?
Terrible customer service

From day one our Razor MX Dirt Rocket wouldn’t last for more than 2 minutes. About a month after purchase, I contacted Razor directly, since there are warnings all over not to return to the retailer. The Razor rep said they would send a battery/electric motor replacement unit and that no replacement of the Dirt Rocket itself was allowed. To make a long story short, I never received the battery/electric motor unit and when I contacted Razor, the response I got was that they didn’t have record of my original contact and that it was now past the 90 day warranty. Needless to say, our family will never purchase a Razor product again.
Fabulous

Arrived 10 days after ordering on Amazon- perfectly packed; A box within an outer dense cardboard box. Easy to assemble, the kids (9,7,6)love it as do I. It is rated at 175 lb but will handle more- lasts an hour with good performance. It is really fast on pavement so the kids are only allowed on grass which is about 25% slower than pavement-very kid safe but not foolproof if one is reckless. This unit thus far is superb- great family fun- Time will tell how durable it is, so far so good after a week.
Fun for kids 8-18. Back tire gears wear FAST.

My son enjoys riding this dirt bike.
He got it for christmas, and rode it for about 1-2 months before it broke.
Evidently, the back wheel has the gears built inside.
When they go, the only way to repair it (since it’s all welded shut) is to buy another back wheel. ($37) The new wheel was easy to put on, only took 10 mins.
Maybe the last wheel was defective. I will update later if this new wheel goes quickly.
Fantastic product

I bought this for my 8 y/o daughter and she handles the bike great even though its for 14 and up. We are very careful and there is close supervision. No risky manuvers. The bike very sturdy and minimal time required for assembly, WE love it.
Great Purchase for our 7 year old

So far we’ve have only good things to say about this motorcycle. Our son absolutely loves riding it and he always wears a helmet. It is heavy duty so kids really should be careful on it. He usually gets tired of riding it before it runs out of battery life.
Good motorcycle for the money

Like everyone else mentions I was somewhat skeptical. It seemed like you had a 50/50 shot of getting a good motorcycle. We bought this for our nine year olds birthday. I was pleased that it came in good condition. They must have seen the complaints because the box it shipped in was pretty heavy duty. The only trouble I had putting it together was that I started reading the 350 model directions instead of the 500. Once I got that figured out it was a piece of cake. It has run great ever since. We have had it almost a month now with no issues whatsoever. My son really likes it because it not too fast or too slow….just right. It is very well made and heavier than I expected. If you are thinking about purchasing one I would highly recommend it.
